Buying a new skincare brand is always a bit stressful.

With a myriad of options available on the market, it’s so easy to get lost and make the wrong choices.

If you’re looking for non-aggressive and natural skin care products, there’s a brand that offers affordable products, provides quality, and people seem to love – Provence Beauty.

However, we’re yet to discuss if Provence Beauty is a legit brand that you can trust.

In this article, I’ll share with you everything you need to know about the brand. We’ll go through some of the popular questions people have, we’ll explore Provence Beauty reviews, we’ll look at some of their top products, and more.

Let’s start!

About Provence Beauty

Provenance Beauty offers pure, natural products that work.

The brand message says that they rely on plant-based ingredients to offer skincare solutions.

In their range of products, you can find anything from facial oils to face mist. They also have a good selection of moisturizers, serums, and even products designed for use on the whole body, nails, hair, and more.

The brand is a popular choice for people with any skin type as its product variety is created to offer something for everyone. They’re also extremely budget-friendly and perfect for everyday use, which is the main selling point for many of their users.

The brand was officially registered in 2019 and has since gained a lot of popularity and some controversy. But about that in a bit 🙂

Let’s get into the spicy details.

Is Provence Beauty cruelty-free?

Yes, Provence Beauty products are cruelty-free which is clearly stated on their labels.

This is a huge selling point for the brand, which has gained popularity as a natural, organic, and plant-based company that mostly relies on pure and clean ingredients.

The brand discloses that they don’t test on animals and are strongly against this practice. Not only do they not sell products that are tested on animals but also don’t partner and work with suppliers or vendors who do.

Is Provence Beauty vegan?

Yes, all of the Provence Beauty products are vegan, which makes them appealing to the users of such skincare.

Is Provence Beauty a clean brand?

Provence Beauty market itself as a clean skincare brand. They don’t use any alcohol, parabens, phthalates, or otherwise said, “bad chemicals” in their products.

They disclose that they don’t rely on filler ingredients but rather infuse their products with plant-based extracts that are specifically selected to offer several therapeutic benefits for the skin.

Is Provence Beauty safe?

The brand has been on the market for several years already. They use only safe ingredients and sell their products legally. There are no risks in using their products.

The organic ingredients that their solutions are infused with are extremely gentle, hydrating, and soothing for the skin. Most products are also a great fit for sensitive skin and won’t cause any inflammation, irritation, or acne.

The brand works with legitimate and tested partners for product testing and validation. You can have peace of mind knowing that you’re in good hands when it comes to using their skincare products.

How much do Provence Beauty skincare products cost?

What you’ll immediately notice about the brand is that its products are super affordable!

They are a great fit for any type of budget and won’t burn a hole in your pocket. Some of their serums are priced at just over $10, while others, like the Hyaluronic Acid Serum, for example, costs only $9.99.

For any beginner skincare enthusiast, this is a good entry point, as you’ll be able to try out different ingredients without breaking the bank. And for the seasoned skincare lover, the low price point is an additional way in which they can save money on working ingredients.

What is The Provence Beauty return policy?

Like most skincare brands (and products from other industries for that matter), Provence Beauty has a return policy that allows buyers to return products if they’re unsatisfied.

However, you can not refund a product that has already been opened or used.

When I searched for details on their return policy on the Provence Beauty website, here’s what I found:

“To qualify for a return, items must be received back to our Fulfillment Center within 30 days of your original order shipment date (as printed on your packing slip) in the condition that your product has arrived. Exchanges also must be shipped within 30 days as well as arrive to us in an unused, unopened condition.”

Is Provence Beauty legit or a scam?

So is Provence Beauty a brand that you can trust?

There have been a lot of conversations and controversial opinions by users who’ve researched or tested Provence Beauty products.

If you go through Provence Beauty reviews and product descriptions, you may notice that some of their products have the exact same ingredients. Moreover, these “matching” products seem to have the exact same color, fragrance, and texture too!

Provence Beauty matching ingredients in products

It’s only natural that users became concerned with the legitimacy of their products and started wondering whether the product diversity is not a scam.

We took the matter into our own hands and approached their customer support with questions.
Alas, we didn’t get a direct reply for these claims, no matter how hard we pressed.

And although this does not mean that the products don’t do their job, it does point to ineffective communication between the brand and its customers.

Provence Beauty communication controversy

At the end of the day, as a skincare enthusiast, you probably do look at the ingredients list before purchasing.

And the products do, in fact, contain what they say in the INCI list.

So, it’s up to you to make your own mind if the brand is worthy of your purchase or if you shouldn’t support it.

For an affordable brand and one with products that do work, we personally have decided to test their products to see if they work. After all, not all users have the financial freedom to choose to support only the most ethical brands.

Below, we have selected a few great products, should you decide to give them a go.

Provence Beauty Vitamin C Serum

Provence Beauty review - vitamin c serum

This Vitamin C serum is created to brighten your skin. Its role is to leave behind a glowy and even complexion.

Suitable for oily, combination, dry, and normal skin, the Provence beauty Vitamin C serum is a must-try as it contains hyaluronic acid, which locks in the moisture. I loved using it, as I didn’t feel the need to apply a moisturizer afterward.

It has a watery consistency that can put you off at first, but I like it, especially for hot summer days.

It effectively promotes the production of collagen, which leads to soft, smooth, and younger-looking skin. The vitamin C content helps reduce wrinkles, fine lines, and dark spots.

The serum has a green tea scent that gives you a feeling of freshness and organicness.

My favorite part about this product is that it has an elegant formulation with plant-based ingredients rich in phytonutrients.

This serum is also vegan and completely cruelty-free. You won’t see any parabens, phthalates, alcohol, or GMOs in the product either.

When it comes to active ingredients, here’s what it has to offer:

  • Vitamin C – Vitamin C or ascorbic acid helps the skin produce more collagen and look youthful and healthy. It’s also a powerful healing agent and helps brighten up the complexion and even the skin tone. If you have dark spots it can make them go away and can work towards avoiding signs of aging.
  • Green tea – is a powerful anti-inflammatory ingredient that helps soothe irritation, reduces redness, and heals swelling. Perfect for acne-prone skin.
  • Vitamin E – is one of the best antioxidants out there. It protects against cell damage and is naturally found in our sebum. It locks in moisture and hydrates deeply. It helps the skin heal faster post-acne.
  • Aloe vera – helps soothe and reduce inflammation, making it a perfect ingredient for acne-prone skin. It’s also used to treat different skin conditions due to its powerful healing properties.
  • Sodium hyaluronate – reduces wrinkles via its powerful moisturizing properties and makes the skin look more elastic, youthful, and supple.
  • Glycolic acid – stimulates more collagen production and exfoliates the skin, extracting any dirt, debris, or excess oils.
  • Panthenol – helps heal skin inflammations and reduces redness.

Provence Beauty Vitamin C + Collagen Brightening & Firming Eye Cream

Provence Beauty review - vitamin c & collagen eye cream

I don’t usually go for eye creams – they are pricey and are, most of the time, glorified moisturizers.

However, I decided to try this one as it’s fairly affordable and I liked the ingredients in it.

This cream is ideal for reducing dark under-eyes and eliminating puffiness.

I love that it re-hydrates the skin and at the same time doesn’t make you feel oily or greasy, or even sticky, as some eye treatments do.

It’s extremely lightweight and easily absorbed.

Upon application, I notice a slight cooling feeling, which is great, especially if your under-eyes are sensitive as mine are.

There’s also a mild orange fragrance to this product, however, it wasn’t disturbing and didn’t sting but rather felt refreshing.

The active hydrating ingredient here is glycerin – a substance that plays the role of a humectant and retains moisture. It seals in hydration, eliminates dryness, and leaves the skin’s surface fresh and rejuvenated.

We also see pure ascorbic acid and sh-polypeptide-121 (a form of collagen) which help to firm, brighten and nourish your under-eyes.

I loved this one, as it’s dirt cheap and effective.

Provence Beauty Hyaluronic Acid Serum + Vitamin B5

Provence Beauty review - hyaluronic acid serum

The Provence Beauty hyaluronic acid serum is another good one in their range of products.

It makes the skin look and feel extremely soft and supple. Instantly.

It reduces the skin’s signs of stress caused by external factors. Besides the soothing and hydrating properties, here again, we see vitamin C and glycolic acid in the formulation. This helps to diminish dark spots and dullness while hydrating the skin.

The serum has powerful retexturizing properties and can even out the skin.

It’s packed with healthy and organic ingredients that will replenish the skin. Its active ingredients include aloe vera, which is a powerful agent that heals the skin and offers superb hydration. It’s also a strong antioxidant that helps protect the skin from external damage from UV rays, pollution, and other factors.

The product is suitable for people with dry skin as it has strong moisturizing properties. You’ll love using it during summer and winter when the temperatures are extreme and could stress your skin.

Other notable ingredients inside this serum include:

  • Green tea leaf extract – is rich in anti-inflammatory properties and helps reduce skin irritation, redness, and swelling.
  • Pro-vitamin B5 – acts as a protector of the skin barrier and locks in moisture, hydrating the skin. It’s also useful in reducing irritation and soothing the skin.

As an oily gal, I used this as a solo product, with no moisturizer on top. However, if you’re on the dryer side, you can benefit to combine it with a moisturizer.

Vitamin Boost Night Facial Oil – Vitamin A, C and E

Provence Beauty review - vitamin boost night oil

I love me some night treatment for the skin.

There’s something soothing and comforting in applying skincare overnight and letting it work its magic while you rest.

This Provence Beauty oil blend is created specifically for night use and comes with a wide range of plant extracts that offer proven results for the skin.

It’s great for any skin type, so people with oily, combination, dry, or normal skin can all benefit from it.

It’s good not only as a night treatment but can also be used in the oil cleansing method (OCM).

The oil is lightweight and works well to help your skin shed the old and damaged cells while promoting the flow of natural nutrients to the skin, helping it look younger and healthier.

You’ll notice nice, glowing skin the next morning.

Like all Provence Beauty products, it does rely on mostly natural ingredients and plant extracts. It’s not tested on animals and does not contain any parabens, phthalates, or alcohol.

It does, however, have some perfuming ingredients and essential oils which can be irritating for sensitive skin types.

The ingredients that make this product unique include:

  • Safflower seed oil – is an antioxidant that nourishes and moisturizes the skin with its fatty acid contents. It helps eliminate inflammation and rashes and calms the skin, making it soft and soothed.
  • Sweet almond seed oil – is another fatty acid-rich ingredient that delivers invaluable oleic acid and linoleic acid to your skin. It contains vitamin E and vitamin B and has smoothing, softening, and moisturizing properties.
  • Rosehip seed oil – has skin regenerating properties and is rich in omega fatty acids that help with anti-aging and reversing some signs of photoaging.
  • Rosemary leaf oil – restores your complexion and supports faster healing of acne and blemishes.

Personally, I loved this one on pamper evenings but I wouldn’t recommend it to people with severe acne or very sensitive skin due to the essential oils in it.

Provence Beauty Glycolic Acid Serum

Provence Beauty review - glycolic acid serum

The Provence Beauty Glycolic Acid Serum has two main goals – to hydrate and exfoliate. It does so by combining hyaluronic acid with glycolic acid and vitamin C.

This product is recommended for people with sensitive, dry, or acne-prone skin.

The serum offers a deep level of hydration without making the skin look oily or greasy. Both hyaluronic acid and glycolic acid have moisturizing capabilities to help in this task.

Furthermore, it can even out dark spots, skin dullness, or other imperfections by firming the skin’s appearance and evening out the skin tone.

Like other Provence Beauty products, this serum is infused with aloe vera gel extract – the soothing and moisturizing hero. It supports faster healing of acne, helps to prevent skin aging, and reduces skin irritation and acne.

The serum will quench your dry skin and will restore its natural hydration.

The other active ingredients include green tea leaf extract, glycerin, and DL-Panthenol (pro-vitamin B5) – an overall amazing concoction of healing and soothing components.

The product also works towards boosting collagen levels via its vitamin C contents, therefore supporting skin elasticity and eliminating wrinkles and fine lines.

It also can reduce pores, prevent blackheads, and revive the skin.

Provence Belly Oil for Pregnancy and Stretch Marks

Provence Beauty review - belly oil

This product is a bit different from the rest that I’ve included in this list so far.

It’s a belly oil mix for pregnancy that reduces stretch marks.

It’s an all-natural solution that can also even out the skin tone and is used as a therapeutic remedy pre- or post-pregnancy.

It’s completely safe to use during pregnancy and postpartum. If you want to prevent stretchmarks – this is a must-try.

The belly oil by Provence Beauty is packed with nutrient-rich essential oils created using only plant-based ingredients. It supports the regeneration of skin cells and helps the skin recover its natural elasticity. The mix of botanical oils used in the product reduces the chances of stretch marks appearing on the skin and soothes, eliminating any itching.

It contains a good amount of vitamin E, which moisturizes and boosts the skin’s elasticity. It’s also rich in other antioxidants, which tackle imperfections.

Some of the key active ingredients here are safflower seed oil, sweet almond seed oil, olive oil, grape seed oil, and argan oil.

Provence Beauty Pink Himalayan Bath Salt with Rose Petals

Provence Beauty review - pink bath salts

Another pamper-worthy product is these fragrant bath salts for at-home aromatherapy.

The stress will fly out the window in an instant.

They’re created with hand-harvested salt crystals from the Southern Dead Sea, lavender, and rose buds that are fragranced with essential oils.

Infuse your otherwise plain bath with healing and detoxifying minerals, including magnesium, potassium, sulfur, zinc, and others.

Or someone else’s bath! I love gifting these salts to friends.

They also make for great visual pleasure, as the rose buds float on the surface in a pretty red and pink. They do leave a bit of a mess at the end, so keep that in mind.

The Himalayan bath salts help restore the pH balance of the skin and reduce oiliness. The essential oils inside are:

  • Ylang Ylang essential oil – is one of the best agents of relaxation out there. It can truly make a difference in your mood and help calm your mind down after a hefty day. It also has antifungal properties.
  • Grapefruit essential oil – offers antibacterial and antimicrobial properties. It enhances circulation and helps treat sore muscles.

Provence Beauty Repairing Vitamin E Toner Serum For Face

Provence Beauty review - vitamin e toner serum

Provence Beauty’s repairing Vitamin E toner serum is a product that tackles severe acne scars, sun damage, and skin imperfections. It’s also amazing for hydration as it locks in the moisture, leaving the skin feeling plump and well hydrated.

This one managed to rid me of the cystic acne scarring that I have been battling. My chin area is cleaner and smoother, and post-inflammatory pigmentation has diminished.

This toner, again, is suitable for any skin type, including oily, combined, dry, and normal.

It’s infused with green tea, aloe vera, glycolic acid, and vitamin E. The product also contains orange peel oil, which has antifungal properties and helps treat acne and heal inflammation.

It absorbs quickly and is super lightweight, which makes it suitable for both day and night usage. You can comfortably wear it underneath makeup and sunscreen.

The toner has a light fragrance, nothing pungent or aggressive.

The only downside of this product is the pump. I personally open the bottle and pour a small amount of product into my palms and apply it that way.

Provence Beauty Active Facial Oil – Rebalance – Argan and Jojoba Oil

Provence Beauty review - rebalance argan and jojoba oil

Here’s another good oil blend for lovers of facial oils.

Like most products by the brand, this oil is very lightweight and offers a sufficient level of hydration, protecting the skin from water loss.

The oil helps restore the skin’s natural complexion and will replenish your skin, making you feel young, healthy, and radiant. Just a few drops are enough for your entire face, and I’ve noticed that the product lasted almost a year of active use.

I apply it before bed and leave it to work during the night.

If you’re worried about breakouts – there’s no need. Even people with oily and acne-prone skin have shared that there were no infections, breakouts, or inflammations after using the product.

However, people with severe and active acne and people with very sensitive skin should know that there are some essential oils in this blend, so be wary.

I personally find the natural fragrance to be relaxing and soothing.

Some of the key ingredients include argan oil, jojoba oil, and safflower seed oil.

Peony Multi-Use Oil for Face, Body, and Hair

Provence Beauty review - peony multi use oil

This one is more of a treatment for all of your senses rather than the skin. Although it does contain some good ingredients, the oil is mostly used as a moisture-retaining product.

The Peony multi-use oil is suitable for the face, body, and hair. This pampering oil blends several plant extracts, creating an organic concoction that’s hard not to love.

The product toots firming, smoothing, and brightening effects. The skin is supposed to look and feel rejuvenated and revitalized.

The oil is best suited to replenish dry skin and is commonly used as a hand and body moisturizer, providing a nice level of nourishment.

My experience with it: I used it heavily as a bath addon by squirting a generous amount of the product. It gave a luxurious feeling as it smells heavenly. And my skin did enjoy some good hydration afterward.
I also used it directly on my body several times and my skin felt moisturized and smelled amazing for hours.

Some of the key ingredients in the multi-use oil are:

  • Vitamin E – provides nourishment, and comes with powerful antioxidants that eliminate signs of aging, help treat scars, and dark sun spots, and prevent wrinkles and fine lines by providing photoprotection against harmful sun rays.
  • Apricot oil – helps the skin retain its natural softness, restores the skin’s radiance, and improves the skin tone.
  • Sweet almond oil – chock full of skin-nourishing fatty acids and additional amounts of vit. E and B, it helps to smooth, moisturize and soften the skin.

Dupes & alternatives to Provence Beauty

If you’re looking for Provence Beauty dupes and alternatives that you can try, it’s vital to have in mind the price point, as this is one of the leading factors why people choose this brand – working products for a great price.

If I had to recommend products at a relatively similar price, I’d recommend checking out The Ordinary – a reputable and long-established skincare brand with no-nonsense products. The difference here is that TO doesn’t do complex products with several ingredients.
However, they do offer staple products that are a safe bet for a lot of skincare enthusiasts. They have a ton of positive reviews and have legitimate practices and processes in place to guarantee excellent quality.

Another brand I want to mention as an alternative to Provence Beauty is Revolution Beauty which also offers affordable skincare that works and is worth trying.

However, if you’re on the lookout for a true leader in quality who offers more complex formulas and still provides a budget-friendly price, try NIOD.

The Ordinary is Available at Yes Style; NIOD is Available at Amazon

I hope you’re now a bit more familiar with Provence Beauty and some of its top-selling products.

If you’ve tried any of the skincare solutions from this list or any other similar products by Provence Beauty or some of the suggested dupes and alternatives, I’d love to hear your thoughts!
