This I’m From product contains a large amount of Mugwort extract and has the power to nourish and restore tired and sensitive skin. It offers effective hydration that can quench almost every skin type.
I’ve noticed that my skin quickly absorbed the cream and it didn’t leave any disturbing residue behind.
The Mugwort cream will help you keep your skin looking healthy and young, preventing premature aging and protecting against harm from the environment.
It also helps the skin produce more collagen, making it look plump and removing any visible fine lines.

However, there are a few I’m From Mugwort cream ingredients that we’ll look closely at as they have amazing properties for the skin.
Mugwort extract
Starting with the key ingredient, Mugwort (Artemisia princeps) is a Korean native plant that’s often used as a medicinal herb thanks to its vast range of useful properties.
I’m From’s Mugwort cream contains 73.55% mugwort extract.
It’s called ‘tea tree’ in Korea and is common in skin care products and used for cleansing purposes.
Mugwort is extremely gentle and offers a deep level of hydration. This is why it makes the perfect ingredient for skincare products for dry or sensitive skin. It can even be used to treat eczema, psoriasis, and other skin conditions.
It comes with powerful anti-inflammatory properties and can soothe irritated, dry skin and eliminate redness.
Glycerin
Glycerin is a favorite ingredient, commonly used in moisturizers or similar skincare products as it’s an amazing humectant. A humectant is a substance that boosts the skin’s moisture retention, therefore promoting better hydration.
Glycerin helps soften the skin and has an immediate effect on dry areas.
Panthenol
If there were one ingredient that dermatologists could choose for hydration, elasticity, and smooth appearance of the skin, it would definitely have to be panthenol.
Panthenol (vitamin B5) is an extremely gentle moisturizer used in a variety of skincare products. It helps soothe and soften the skin and is commonly used as an anti-irritant.
Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate
Another hero for dry and damaged skin, you’ll probably see this ingredient written as “DPG” on some products.
It’s popular for topical application and its main role is to offer softness, calmness, and smoothness to sensitive and irritated skin. It reduces flakiness and restores the skin’s suppleness and elasticity.
This is why it’s mostly present in skin care products designed for sensitive skin.
It’s hypoallergenic and can help the skin retain moisture for longer.
Allantoin
Allantoin is another useful ingredient that reduces skin irritation and can calm and soothe the skin. It supports a faster healing process where there are wounds as it promotes regeneration.
Product highlights
Some of the key things you should know are the pH, animal testing practices, and the use of harmful substances.
The I’m From Mugwort cream has a pH of 5.0±0.5 which is ideal for skin care products.
It’s completely vegan and cruelty-free, created without the use of artificial colors, parabens, sulfates, animal products, alcohol, or mineral oils.
It uses natural ingredients that are safe for your skin and harmless to the environment.
In a nutshell:
- pH of 5.0±0.5
- Vegan & cruelty-free
- No artificial colors
- No parabens
- No sulfates
- No animal products
- No alcohol
- No mineral oils
What’s the packaging, how much product do you get, and how long does it last?
The cream’s packaging is cleverly designed to fit the concept behind the product – natural.
It has a very earthy and natural-looking design.
It comes in a green box that shows which region in Korea the mugwort has been extracted from.
The cream is packed in a glass jar that contains 50 ml of the product.
It could easily last for between three to six months, depending on how often you use it.
If you apply the cream once a day, you could use it for around half a year. If you use it in the morning and in the evening, expect to buy a new one around the third month.
There are no extra accessories in the box, so you’ll be using your fingers or a spatula for an easier application.
How to use it and where does it best fit in a routine
The cream should be applied after cleansing, toners, and serums, as the last step in your skincare routine before applying an SPF.
I’ve noticed that the cream plays well with other skin care products, so no need to worry about any peeling.
Apply a small amount to your face and pat it in, until it’s fully absorbed. I like to wait for a minute before the SPF application.
Can I use mugwort with retinol?
Yes, you can use mugwort with retinol and I highly advise you to do so.
Retinol can sometimes lead to skin irritation, redness, or flaking. You can prevent these consequences by using mugwort’s powerful ability to reduce irritation and soothe the skin, offering an instant calming effect and relief.
Texture and experience
I loved using the cream and getting to know its texture!
The consistency is light and gel-like and you’ll quickly feel a nice, fresh sensation on the skin after applying it.
It quickly absorbs and doesn’t leave behind any extra residue or sticky feeling. It doesn’t come with a strong fragrance but you can smell a slight earthy scent from the mugwort extract.
It’s a nice experience and a perfect product for people who are not fond of heavy-fragranced skincare products.
You don’t need to use a lot of product either, a tiny amount will be enough for your entire face.
Who is this for?
Although the product isn’t targeted at a specific skin type, I must note that it’s not for everyone.
I’d recommend that you try it if you have oily to combination skin or sensitive skin.
The I’m From Mugwort cream is an acne solution too and can comfortably be used by people with skin prone to acne problems. It’s effective in reducing redness and has healing and calming properties.
So is the mugwort cream good for dry skin?
In short, no.
Let me explain.
Who is this NOT for?
The product is not ideal for people with dry skin.
The hydration provided by the cream won’t be enough for your skin or for any drier areas. You’ll probably need to use it in combo with another, heavier moisturizer.
In addition, people with dry skin have shared feedback that their skin feels really tight after using this cream.
Such users can try the Mugwort cream in summer when the weather is hot and the skin is prone to more overall oiliness as a result of sweating.
Does it live up to its claims?
From my personal experience, I’d say that the I’m From Mugwort cream lived up to my expectations to the fullest.
However, it will all come down to the type of skin you have and your skincare routine.
Some users have shared that they feel a bit of stinging after application, that their skin felt blotchy and tight, and other negative experiences. The earthy scent is also not for everyone.
On the good side, it does provide a decent level of moisture, it helps relieve redness and irritation, it absorbs quickly on oily or combination skin, and the jar lasts for a long time.
Plus, the main advantage for me is the reliance on a key natural ingredient to work all the magic.
Price & availability
The I’m From Mugwort cream is priced at around $30 for 50 ml, which could be a bit expensive for some.
There are certainly other, more affordable creams on the market, but the quality of this one is great if you want to dive into the world of Korean skincare.
I personally appreciate a product that uses no harmful ingredients, relies on a natural herb for the majority of its effectiveness, and can last for half a year.
Not to mention that you can easily find it available for sale online.
Conclusion
The bottom line is, I’d say give I’m From Mugwort cream a go if you still haven’t tried it.
Korean cosmetics and skincare products are absolutely brilliant and I truly loved testing this one.
I’d love to hear your thoughts and stories about the cream. Feel free to leave your comments in the comment section below and share your feedback from using the I’m From Mugwort cream.
